Liam Dennick partner again, hoped to do a little better than last time... Liam draw peg 21 Windmill and weighed 65lb and came second on his lake. He caught on meat at 5 meters.

I draw on paper the 2nd best peg in Europe....... 19 Middle Pool. 10 F1's late for 27lb and second on lake. I've never seen Middle fish so tough. Caught everything on pellets long and couple on paste at 5 meters. At 1.30pm..... I thought I was going to blank. I caught on pellets long in open water, NEVER had a bite down the edge.

Kennet and Avon - Round 4

Final round of the Spring league on Kennet and Avon Canal. Drew B8, an end peg at Churches, the right of the swing bridge. Theres 6 end pegs in our section......

Lovely days fishing, spent too long looking for skimmers

Firstly thanks to Paz ( my team mate) drawing me flyer. The pressue is now on with drawing an end peg.

I mainly caught on pinkies on the three quarter line. Felt I should of done better. Couldn't catch them famous skimmers.... just won my spilt 8 peg section and the big 26 peg section only by a few ounces.

Heronbrook- MAM

I wish Heronbrook was closer, so another early start this morning. Hoping to draw Match Lake, but draw Match Pool, a lake that i have never fished.

There was only ten of us fishing the lake, so we had plenty of room, however two end pegs in the section and two decent anglers on each one, this going to be difficult to qualify.....

I decided to go all out pellet attack and maggots and mirco pellets down the edge. I had a fanastic start, the first forty mintues was really good, mainly caught carp on 6mm Marukyu JPZ at 14 meters on the "mud line". I toss potted all my feed, and when bites faded, i loose feed pellets to encourage more fish into my peg, i felt this wasnt right, to begin with, but muscled through it and the peg did come back and i did have a furly of fish on the "mong" which was mega for 10 mintues.

I felt i was beat by Mr Llyod off the next peg, and even offered a £20 side bet, that he beat me..... glad now he didn't take it.... he caught way more fish than me, but loads smaller.

The third round of our spring canal league, i was depressed after my first round, got lucky on second round and third???

Unfortunately, are team is struggling a little in the league and the area i draw, i felt i could catch skimmers and with Richard Chave drawing end peg, i felt i would need double figures to get good points. How wrong was i.

Ain't been to Alvechurch since my disappointing winter league. So was looking forward to catching some fish hopefully..... drew peg 26, which i thought was further down the lake, but i was on the point. So good draw.

Caught well on my worm mix, see Liam's video.....

I find myself proper struggling and caught a few on paste at 5 meters.

I can't remember last time i went to Larford Lakes. So was looking forward to it, looking at peoples Facebook reports it was fishing awesome in places. Looking at the reports you wanted an end peg on Specimen Lake to stand a chance.

However, I was wrong, and Richie Hull won it on peg 2 on Match Lake with 155lb.

Heronbrook- Open Match

Back to Heronbrook again today, hoping to be on the Match Lake, but unfortunately didn't draw it, however had an end peg on Canal, but I felt it wouldn't complete with early pegs on Canal and the Match Lake has been awesome, we fished it yesterday after the match, so really big fish in the lake.

My match started really slow, infact i never caught anything in the first 40 mintues, which was worrying. The guy next to me had 2 F1's after 40 mintues.... it was bleak.

I caught all my fish long to far bank with pellets and had 3 small F1's down the edge to the next pallet, hoped for a more productivity from that line.

I still love Heronbrook, I know its quite peggy, but hopefully my luck with change?! Last year I fished 5 matches in 2017, won two, third overall, section win and second on the lake. But yet this year, 2018, fished three matches and come last in all three!!

Still love Heronbrook....

Back to Heronbrook fishery again today for Fish O Mania. I was little disappointed with the draw, gave it a go and slowly back up with ahour to go. Didnt wanna walk past anglers that were fishing.

35lb won Island pool. I had 4 F1's and one decent carp. Hope my luck improves tomorrow?
